Take on the high profile role of Editor on Digital Camera, one of Future’s biggest brands, and continue to grow the success of the magazine in a highly competitive sector.
You will manage and lead the team to deliver editorial excellence in every issue. Keeping the magazine firmly on-brand and within budget, you will oversee the flat-planning, commissioning and creation of each issue. You’ll be responsible for delivering a best-in-class and continually improving editorial product as well as working closely with the Publisher on all commercial aspects of the print title and its brand extensions.
About You
You will have experience of editing a newsstand magazine title and have proven experience of helping drive the commercial success of a magazine or website. Combining your excellent editorial and magazine craft with strong people management skills, you will be able to develop and lead a talented team. A willingness to work beyond the print title to help deliver brand-specific extensions is essential.
You will also have a good understanding of the digital photography sector and an interest in digital photography. Established contacts within the industry and previous experience of working in the photography sector are preferable.

Salary: On experience The Trends Forecast Reports Editor must have a very good pedigree in researching, analysing, writing and delivering insight reports that span all markets worldwide, all business sectors, and have a deep understanding of consumer attitudes and behaviours and market dynamics.
The ability to edit with conviction to a very high standard is key – overseeing the team and setting the standard for the Trends Reporters and Analysts to write. Often a day’s work will include briefing, managing, reading and editing and sometimes re-writing a number of reports, ranging from 1,000 to 20,000 words. This is a job that will require regular and ongoing late nights in the office, as and when needed, and a self-starter, who can work across a number of time zones and be able to manage a team of in-house writers and researchers, as well as the growing number of freelance analysts, editors, researchers and quant specialists we employ to create the kind of reports that clients now expect from us – ones that are insightful, authoritative, global and future-faced in their content and objectives; reports in other words that get clients the kind of column inches and cross-media coverage unusual among our competitors.
The Editor will ensure a style of writing of the Trends Reports - proven trends methodology is used and observed, existing templates and writing styles are employed.
Ideal background maybe from Trade Press, Newspaper or Trends Agency.
Must be someone who is able to write on any given market, sector or consumer, using our unique quantitative survey and qualitative methods.
Must have longstanding experience as an editor.
